"Ted Levin is literally, a 'Human Jukebox'!" A quote he has heard many times over the last ten years in the Dallas Metroplex, performing the very greatest, pop and rock sing-along classic's of the last 5 decades!
Levin is former frontman, of Kirtland Recording Artists, Space Cadet, and has supported such major artists as: Ashlee Simpson, Bowling for Soup, and OKGO, as well as having played on Van's Warped Tour's, '03 and '04. The group's remake of Kim Carnes, 'Bette Davis Eyes', was the most requested song by a local artist on KDGE's 102.1 The Edge in 2006.
Finding he much preferred the laid back, crooner style of singing, seasoned with a healthy dash of Neil Young bravado, he now performs as a stripped down, acoustic trio, backed by ex-Ten Hands percussionist, Greg Beck, and string virtuoso, Orion Pitts, on fiddle and mandolin.
His song selection spans current to classic, and draws from a repertoire of nearly 250 songs! Often seen bringing down the house at local watering holes with a souped up, barroom version of a Tom Petty, Billy Joel, or Johnny Cash favorite, he is just as likely to be found simply crooning an Ink Spots or Mill's Brothers melody, with whisper-like, vocal shimmer, and beautiful accompaniment, at fine restaurants and private clubs like House of Blues, Foundation Room, where he is a regular entertainer.
Perfect for any engagement, where guests want to just 'have fun', and not have to shout to hear one another! A great alternative to a loud, rock band, or boring DJ, The Ted Levin Trio delivers endless sonic bliss with all the timeless hits you want to hear!
