Decades Cover Band from Marietta, GA

We are a New Corporate/Wedding/Party/Dance Band specializing in Classic Rock, Pop, and dance hits from the 60s to current that most other bands are NOT playing. Our songlist is full of songs that everyone knows, loves, remembers, and never gets to hear performed live because no one else is playing them. Most bands don't play the songs we play because they are very difficult songs to learn and perform live. Decades however is full of excellent singers and players who thrive on the challenge and enjoy playing music no one else is. You will be hard pressed to find another band that rivals Decades' vocal and playing abilities. In fact, our guitar player, John Brightwell, has recently received the distinction of being crowned the Best Finger Picking guitar player in all of Georgia for 2008! Our 6-piece band also packages the show in a completely unique way compared to most other bands. The 6-piece show consists of 4 sets. Each set contains music from one decade only. The first set is all 60s; the second set is all 70s; the third set is all 80s; and the 4th set is modern hits from the 90s and 00s. Why do we package our show this way? At most events where the guests have a wide spread in ages, not all, but most of the older guests tend to leave the earliest, while the younger guests tend to leave last. Most bands stagger their songs so there might be one song from the 80s, followed by one from the 60s, then two from the 90s, etc. This method makes sure that everyone gets to hear a few songs they prefer before they leave, but the older guests who tend to leave first, don't get to hear very many songs from their era. By packaging the sets by DECADE, the guests who tend to leave first, get an entire set of music they prefer. As the hour gets later, the average age of the remaining guests tend to get younger and younger and the songs in our show get newer and newer. For those that stay the entire night they get to hear how Rock, Pop, and Dance music has evolved over the past 50 years. It really is a neat and very unique musical package. Our 6-piece consists of 4 players (drums, guitar, bass, keyboards) and both male and female lead vocalists and includes the songs packaged by decade. Our 5 piece is a more casual show without our female lead. Currently the 5-piece band plays the songs in a random order as it is a more casual show than the 6-piece. Our current song list is listed in the song list section below. We also know many of the standards that most other Classic Rock Bands play as well and are happy to play them if requested. Our main song list is listed alphabetically, and the other songs that are not in our regular show but are available upon request are also in alphabetical order following the main list.
