"Colorado's Finest Good Time Rock" -- The Black Jack Canyon Band featuring Leah Lockhart is comprised of very experienced professional musicians with thousands of onstage and studio hours between them. Mission?? Provide top level "Good Time" musical entertainment to audiences across Colorado. Focusing on tight musical arrangements and soaring vocal harmonies, the band plays a very wide variety of party music and satisfies audiences from the very young to the most "mature".
The BJC Band owns its own lighting and high end sound system, and has its own sound engineer. Performance fees are based on band availabilty/demand, event duration, travel distance and whether our sound system will be required. "Everything is negotiable"...

All the good ones from the past 50 years...Everyone from the Alabama Shakes and Black Keys to U2 and ZZ Top, Grace Potter to Susan Tedeschi to Sheryl Crow to Etta James...you get the idea. Musically our goal is to have something for everyone, whether its from the '60s or today...and of course the BJC Band also plays a wide variety of party standards from the past 60 years, from Midnight Hour to Brown Eyed Girl to Margaritaville to Play That Funky Music etc, etc, etc....you name it.
We will work closely with you, in advance, to ensure that the playlist for your event matches the mood you wish to create, and the musical tastes of your party's demographics. We know that first and foremost our job is to play the music that you and your guests will enjoy -- because a successful, memorable event is what it's all about. And if there is a special song you'd like us to learn, just let us know...
Leah Lockhart --Leah is a professional actress, model, and vocalist who brings a very soulful, wide ranging vocal presence to BJC. A native of Denver, Leah is equally at home in the blues, Motown, as well as today's hits.
Bob McCormick -- a native of Cranford NJ, Bobby is a versatile, toneful guitarist who has played hundreds of corporate, festival, and private party gigs. A confirmed Gearaholic. Bobby has opened for David Lee Roth and others. Bob plays Gibson and Collings guitars, and Suhr and amps.
Bill Galey -- a native of Stamford, CT, Bill is an accomplished musician with numerous original compositions and CD releases to his credit. Equally at home on lead or slide guitar, Bill also plays keyboards and sings. Bill has played in the Chicago based indie roots rock band Voodoo Pilot for the past 11 years, during which time the band released 4 original CDs, opened for numerous national acts, and received airplay on WXRT and other progressive radio stations around the country. Bill plays Fender and Gibson guitars, and Trace Elliot amps.
Jim Antone -- A native of Boulder, Jim recently returned from a lengthy stint on the east coast where he played in two Atlantic City casino house bands, a funk / fusion band called the Strayz, as well as fronting a successful Allman Brothers tribute band, Hotlanta, for seven years. Jim cites influences of Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke, Rocco Prestia, and Victor Wooten.
Rick Brochu -- A native of Palm Beach, FL, Rick has played nearly every style of music with successful bands all over the country. Comfortable playing jazz to metal and anything in between, Rick is a key part of the BJC rhythm section, locking in airtight grooves and tempos all night long. Rick plays DW drums and Zildjian A Custom cymbals.
