We are The Silent Shout and we were born ready to make your special day or event a seamless success. Our band is a team of seasoned professionals and life-long musicians. Our song selection ranges from classic rock, 80's pop/rock hits, oldies, disco and country to current Top 40 Radio hits. We consider it our #1 priority to create a high-energy, engaging and top notch musical show for our clients. Rest assured, your guests (no matter their age) will dance the night away. We have been selected as a mainstay at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Resort in Hollywood Beach, FL and have also been selected to play many high profile community events such as the Ft. Lauderdale Oktoberfest in Las Olas. We keep a rockin' schedule all month long at various locations throughout the area. Lauderdale Beach Boston's on the Beach - Delray Beach (AND MANY MORE!) ABOUT THE BAND: Kelsey Merritt (Vocals) is a vocalist, producer and songwriter. She has over 10 years of experience in the entertainment and music industry, starting at the age of 15 as a Radio Disney artist opening for major label acts such as the Jonas Brothers. Kelsey attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music where she majored in music business and also started her band, Kelsey and the Chaos. She has toured extensively and most notably, spent 6 consecutive summers on the Vans Warped Tour. After less than a year of being a band, Kelsey and the Chaos inked a deal with Warner Music Group. Many of Kelsey's compositions have been featured on a number of popular TV shows such as E!'s 'Keeping Up With The Kardashian's' and MTV's 'The Real World' in addition to having a song chart nationally on Top 40 radio format. Kelsey's band was named one of the '100 Bands You Need to Know" by Alternative Press Magazine. Her band and music have also been featured in The New York Times, The Orlando Sentinel, Alternative Press Magazine, Substream Magazine, MTV, MTV2, amongst other major publications. Andres Roa (Drums) is a professional musician, recording artist and drum set educator. Born in Ibague Tólima (Musical City of Colombia) Andres began his career at a very young age playing with local bands. He has studied music at the Tólima Conservatory of Music, majored in Music Performance and Drum Set at Javeriana University of Bogotá and attended Miami Dade College on a scholarship with emphasis in Jazz Ensembles, African Percussion Ensembles, Drum Set, Midi Recording and Jazz Theory. Andres has vast experience as a performer and has collaborated with major artists of all genres. Besides being a versatile player as well as an arranger who has performed many kinds of musical styles; Andres also has collaborated in music for movies and short films. Diego Larrañaga (Bass) is a professional recording and performing bass player, writer, producer and art director. He is also the Founder of Peruvian rock band, Zen. In 2003, the band was nominated for an MTV Music Award. The band was also ranked 4 out of MTV's Top Ten that same year. Mr. Larrañiaga was also a part of the bands, Terranova and Huelga de Habre and was a competitor in the National Rock contest. Some of the remarkable festivals Diego has played include, Rock al Parke (Colombia) and Pelulahua (Ecuador). He also adds a Guinness world record to his list of vast accomplishments for playing a concert with 124 other Latin artists at the Center of the Earth. Alfredo Aráuz (Guitar) is a multi- instrumentalist, performing artist and producer from Nicuaragua. He is also the founder of his own production company and record label, Evercircle which is a platform dedicated to singers/songwriters under the umbrella of a top quality production company. Mr Aráuz began his musical journey at a young age, playing with local bands and festivals. He studied piano at the Conservatory of the Politecnical University of Nicaragua as well as guitar at the Escuela Municipal de Jerez de la Frontera in Spain. Alfredo remains active in south Florida as classical guitar teacher, freelance performer and is currently furthering his education by earning a degree for audio technology and music at the SAE school in Miami, FL.
