About Vendor

Classic Rock 'n' Roll, Rhythm & Blues, Country, Swamp Pop, Cajun and variety music is what The Mercury Blue Band is all about. Their performance of timeless music, which is enjoyed by young and old alike, continues to be their calling card in the overall American music scene. The band is composed of seasoned veterans from the comprehensive music scene within the Deep South venues of Louisiana. This very powerful music quartet showcases a greatly expanded musical production of countless hits and songs. Outstanding electric guitar performance is handled by JR Prescott. A longtime music scene entertainer, JR is well known and respected throughout the musical community. His career of being a radio personality only contributes to his well versed appreciation and performance of great music. JR plays lead, rhythm and slide guitar while also singing lead and backup vocals. He routinely swaps his guitars to flush out another set of harmonics to compliment the band's robust sound. The deep foundation of bass guitar is easily handled by Joe Kreyenbuhl. Joe's talents are not limited to but one guitar, as he utilizes three distinct bass guitars to produce the wide variety of bass tones, so connected to the overall music scene. One of his bass guitars is an amplified acoustic special edition, which produces a very full range of harmonics. In addition to this, he is well accomplished on 12 string guitar, and that distinct sound that is found on several hits from the 60's and 70's musical roster of notable hits. A powerful percussion and drum sound comes from Bob Kreyenbuhl. Being a long time veteran of the music scene, Bob display's a knack for a beat that anyone can dance to. He accents all of the hidden and distinct percussion sounds, which are connected to the various hits from all classic and modern music, that one would be amiss if these were not part of his moving drum and rhythm work. It's been well said that " if you can't dance to Bob's drums, then you can't dance!" The multi-keyboardist is Michael "Chief" Kuk, who brings the flavor of Hammond Organ & Leslie, piano, synthesizers and Zyedeco accordion into the bands robust sound. A long time Rock and Roller with extensive stage, studio and touring credits, the "Chief of the Keyboards" is a 2006 inductee of the 50's-60's (IRMMA) Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He sings lead and backup vocals for the group, while pushing his custom made keyboard sounds to their limits. The Chief is also the Band's Light Show Specialist. Definitely a welcome staple for the musical excitement only found in The Mercury Blue Band. Without question, when one hears and sees Mercury Blue band in person, you'll sign up as a lifetime fan. This is the "one" musical act to follow! Thanks for your considering ou Band for your Very Special Event. Mercury Blue Highlights- Opening Act Band for Mayfest 2017 Leesville,La.
