Joe Ferry's Highlife Band is a popular cover group in the Northeast USA. The band has been together for 40 years (!!!) and is led by Grammy Award Winning record producer, bassist, author and educator, Dr. Joe Ferry. The band travels and performs throughout the USA. The repertoire consists of Today's Top Hits; Motown favorites; legendary Classic Rock tunes; popular Reggae tunes by Bob Marley; Blues; Soul favorites incl. Stevie Wonder; Oldies and Standards. Through the ranks of the Highlife Band have passed some of the top artists in the music business including Cyrille-Aimee, Matt Simons, Jenny O., Joey Ray and many more. The current lineup is as exciting as ever and we look forward to performing at your event.
Songs include: "Higher Ground"; "Long Train Running"; "A Change Is Gonna Come"; "Shake Your Body Down To The Ground"; "The Way You Make Me Feel"; "Moves Like Jagger"; "I Need To Know"; "People Get Ready"; "Perfectly Lonely"; "Sunny"; "Old Love"; and hundreds more by such artists as Stevie Wonder, The Doobie Brothers, Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Maroon 5 and many more.
The basic group is 4 pieces (Vocalist/keyboards; bass; guitar; drums) but a horn section and/or a female vocalist may be added (as Joe for details).
