Joe Ferry Band is fully insured and completely self-contained. The group was founded by Dr. Joe Ferry, the Grammy Award Winning record producer, bandleader, author, guitarist, bassist and educator. Over the course of his 40-year career, he has produced records and played bass for numerous artists, including The Skatalites, Dr. John, Toots & The Maytals, Rhonda Vincent, Eileen Ivers, Nicolette Larson, John Hammond, Sue Foley, Double Trouble, The Roches, The New Orleans Klezmer All-Stars, SKAndalous All-Stars, Uzimon, Huey Lewis and the News and Delbert McClinton. He is a 5-Time Grammy Nominee, Winner of the Chancellor's Award For Teaching Excellence @ State University of New York, and Best Fiction Award at the San Francisco Book Festival and several awards for Music Distribution, Composition and Production. Joe Ferry is the co-writer of the Skatalites Grammy award winning hit single "Skalloween" (written by Joe Ferry & Doug Munro). Dr. Joe Ferry holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Long Island University, a Master of Fine Arts degree from SUNY Purchase, and a Ph.D. From Kennedy Western University. He is Professor Emeritus Purchase College, State University of New York.
