Let's Party. Commander Mojo & the Horns of Discontent want you to let loose and to get on the floor and dance! That temptation is hard to resist with selections from David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Sam & Dave, Wilson Pickett, Chicago, The Beatles, Van Morrison, and Brian Setzer. Formed in 2012, the band is a group of veteran music teachers and performers from the Seattle north end. Additional information and media available on our website and facebook page. Bobby Wintersteen – Vocals, Bass Bobby is a veteran of many bands and recording sessions both locally and in Los Angeles. His crowd pleasing antics may be a result of many missteps from his misguided youth and an unconfirmed incident when he was dropped on is head as a young child. Matt Edwards – Keyboards, Trumpet, Arranger The band director at Madrona K8 in the Edmonds School District and owner of and instructor at Edwards Music Studio, Matt is also the swim coach at the Aqua Club in Kenmore, WA. After 20 years of teaching middle school band, playing his favorite songs with some of his best friends is an excellent tonic. Doug Rothaus – Bass, Vocals, Guitar Doug has been playing and singing in the Seattle area for over 30 years. After touring the US and Europe in the 1990s, Doug slowed down the pace of his music for much of the last decade playing in local modern worship bands and teaching lessons to young guitar and bass students. Doug has a flair for soulful vocals and a love of groovy hats. David Dunkley – Drums, Vocals A singer, songwriter, and instructor from Edmonds, WA, David has taught percussion and guitar at many Edmonds schools including Madrona, Maplewood, and Meadowdale Middle School. Dennis Nicholson - Trombone Dennis is a retired band director and general music teacher from the Edmonds and North Kitsap School Districts. He currently assists with music classes at Madrona K8. Dennis is also an avid gardener and fisherman, and he grows a mean beard. Ed Dominguez – Alto/Tenor Sax Ed is the band director at many Edmonds schools including Westgate, Beverly, and College Place. He's also a naturalist and ski & climbing instructor. David Lamoreux – Trumpet A veteran band director from the Shoreline & Edmonds School Districts, he currently teaches guitar, piano, music technology, and band at Jackson High School in Everett. David has shared the stage with legendary acts such as Ray Charles and the Temptations. Joe Peterson – Guitar A sixth grade teacher in the Shoreline School District, Joe is a music enthusiast and lover of the Pacific Northwest.
