The Joe Lenigan Band was started in 1997 as a response to the demand of variety, quality and energy. The ten member band which featured a vast repertoire consisting of big band, swing, oldies, rock 'n roll / Motown as well as Motown, Latin standards and some current pop music. The musical talent of the membership matches the diversity of the band's repertoire.
Joe Lenigan members include; Johnny Mathis, Henry Mancini, John Davidson, The Dave Clark Five, Natalie Cole, Audra MacDonald, Regis Philbin, Marvin Hamlisch, Joe Williams, Mel Torme, Rosemary Clooney, Little Anthony and the Imperials and numerous engagements with both the Temptations and the Four Tops. In addition, the Joe Lenigan band has performed for three of California's governors. Lead vocalist Bob Bergthold is featured on recordings of Promise Keepers in addition to 'jingle' recordings from Southern California throughout the Central Valley.
Mike Askew: Cousin Mike: Current Guitarist for "CALL THE COUSINS" / and Joe Lenigan Band.
Mike started his professional career, that is paid nightly for clubs and such in Salina Kansas. Lead guitarist with the HANDS OF TYME. 6 nights a week as a senior in High School. Mike Askew at age 19 was the Lead Guitarist for the Air Force's first Rock Band Mach One. Washington D.C. You can still find the first album for sale on the internet Over the years Mike has played in concerts for or with such artists as: Bob Hope - Civic Auditorium Oklahoma City 1974 with Strategic Air Command Band from Omaha Nebraska. On that concert he performed a duet with Dionne Warwick a song called Motherless Child. On this show was also Tennessee Ernie Ford, Mickey Mantle and more.
1988 Mike was music director for a Top 40 band on Norweigan Cruise Lines, touring the Bahamas, San Juan, and St Thomas. After this Mike started Dorian Productions after moving to San Francisco. This site is still available. Many reference letters from over 3000 gigs are available there. Along the way, guitarist for Pettula Clark on her Reno Nevada portion of her last tour. A short tour with "Hair Spray" the New York cast and crew. Mike played guitar and disc jockey for Peter Noone, lead singer for Herman's Hermits, in the clothing district every night for a full month, representing Merrill Lynch.
Patrick Luke Olivera
Patrick Luke Olvera has been playing bass for over 27 years. He has received multiple scholarships including one from Berklee College of Music. He has toured with Smooth Jazz artist Jeanette Harris, Hip Hop artist Fashawn, and is currently a band member of American Idol contestant, Haley Reinhart, which will be going back on tour in the fall of 2018.

Burke Lizama has been performing as a vocalist for more than several years. Graduate from Buchanan High School, he took classes at Fresno City College and majored in music. He has taken lessons from Debi Rudd, Judith Dickison, Hannah Nielsen, and Rebecca Sarkisian. He currently performs in The Joe Lenigan Band, The Hal Magnie Band, ¡Toma!, The Max Headroom Band, and One Hot Minute.
Les Nunes (trombone) – Les has taught music 35 years and instructs 4 jazz bands and AP Music Theory at Clovis High. He is also the Jazz Trombone teacher at Fresno State and low brass teacher at Fresno Pacific University. Les has performed concerts with Plas Johnson, Ed Thigpen, Charlie Shoemake, Gary Smulyan, Bill Cunliffe and other world class jazz musicians and has played in groups backing up the Temptations, Four tops, Melissa Manchester, Andy Gibb and the Who to name a few.. He recently was named Jazz Educator of the Year for the State of California by the California Music Educators Association
