The Beltway Rockers have delighted audiences with their unique brand of rock and roll for more than 15 years. Playing an irresistible mix of music from the 60s to the "Oughts", the Rockers consider it their duty to engage your audience and keep the dance floor full.
The Beltway Rockers are:
Gary Dennis, Lead Vocals: Gary grew up on Long Island with the music of teenage idols Ricky Nelson, Bobby Rydell, Brian Hyland and the surf sounds of the Beach Boys. Gary applies his impressive range to everything from Neil Diamond and Roy Orbison to The Who, The Kinks and The Beatles.
Pete Hawkins, Drums: Pete has played drums in many bands since the 80's, opening for acts such as The Cranberries and Marilyn Manson. His formative years included heavy doses of classic rock, and he credits bands like Lep Zeppelin, Rush, Kansas, Bad Co., The Beatles, etc. for his rich musical heritage.
Charlie Olson, Bass and Vocals: Charlie is the most recent addition to The Beltway Rockers. Charlie has played bass, cello, keyboards and guitar in orchestras, jazz bands, pit orchestras, lounge acts and just about every musical organization imaginable (ask him about playing in a polka band for a summer).
Tim Turqman, Guitar and Vocals: Exposed to music from all over the world through his extensive overseas travels, Tim's influences include Peter Gabriel, Jimmy Page, Johann Sebastian Bach and Andres Segovia. Having played multiple instruments in a variety of groups, Tim is still searching for the perfect funk riff, the perfect lead break, and the perfect ending.
Mark Meiss, Keyboards: Mark is the sole Rocker native to Northern Virginia. Mark has been playing piano since he was seven, and was inspired as a teenager by such artists as Rick Wakeman, Keith Emerson, Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea. Mark enjoys creating as broad a sound palate as possible for the band's songs. That, and getting people up and dancing!
