Where to begin...... Three musicians... Combined we have well over 100 years of music experience. Jim and John are co-workers - Tommy and Jim are cousins. We all love great music, and there is so much of it out there, we have a hard time keeping up. Our song list grows each month, and we are learning new songs as fast as the artists can release them. Country music makes up about half of our tunes and Classic Rock the other half. That is very general, and could be further broken down into Country, Southern Rock, New Country, Classic Rock, Soft Rock, Pop, Hard Rock, Oldies, Folk, Easy Listening.
We are basically a three piece band - One acoustic guitar player, one electric lead guitar player and an acoustic guitar / keyboard player. We utilize midi sound modules for our backing tracks- ie drums, bass, etc. All three of us sing lead vocal and all three sing harmony vocals in many songs.
We have played at many different venues - From stages to parking lots, indoors or outdoors - public or private - garages, open fields, basements, bars, decks, lounges, parks, schools, tents, college parties, birthday parties, anniversaries, fundraisers, FD wetdowns, comedy nights, outdoor library concerts, corporate parties and functions, Oktoberfest, block parties, wineries - You name it and we have probably been there. Work In Progress Band takes a lot of pride in sounding great and creating a memorable event full of the music you love to hear. We opted for the three piece band for a host of reasons - Size - We don't require an enormous stage area - Price - We are able to keep our events at a reasonable level - Sound -The make up of our sound enables us to sound very much like the music from your favorite entertainers - We take a lot of pride in building our music to sound like the original. Listen to our "Snippet" and you will get an idea of what to expect at your venue.
Through the years we have heard from our loyal followers and fans things like: "You guys sound awesome" "Your Harmony Vocals are Excellent" - "Thank you for playing that, that is one of my favorites" - "That sounded better than the original" - "Please don't stop playing yet"
Total strangers have come up and introduced themselves asking for our business card saying "I want you at our next party"
When you love the music that you play, it shows up in your sound -
We are constantly listening to our fans for suggestions for new songs. There is only one thing that we want to do - PLAY for YOU.
