In 1980 Lou moved up to Lake County Ca. and put together a couple of different band but it wasn't until 1985 that Lou Derr & Bootleg was born. There is a list a mile long of accompishments that Lou has earned. including 3 Marlboro Talent round-ups and 2 Wrangler Country Roudups. Lou spent 4 years working for his music mentor John Fogerty in the Bay Area before moving up north. Since 1985 Lou has shared stages with over 40 headliners including Waylon, Merle, Charlie and Mickey Gilley. After a 11 year break due to a back injury, Lou is back this year with his new 'Bootleg'. He has put together a 7 pc 'Rockin' Country' Band. He has been blessed with the best of the best, all seasoned performers, Lou has been touring Northern California since April performing all over the place. 'Everyone is turning out for the shows, It's great feeling knowing the fans along with new ones are still out there supporting us' says Lou. Lou wants to carry on the tradition of performing the songs the way they were meant to be. 'I put my own style to these great songs without insulting the audience.
