Dion Pride the son of legendary Country Music Hall of Famer, Charley Pride, has inherited his father's talents.
Dion connects with crowds of all types and works feverishly to win the same approval ratings and strong reputation his father has enjoyed for years. Adoring Charley fans have quickly jumped on board with Dion and show no signs of wavering as they help him to also become a mainstay entertainer.
Dion pride is also a songwriter and multi talented Instrumentalist. One of his songs titled "I Miss My Home" was recorded by his father and released on Charley Pride's "Choices" album in 2011. This song is often performed by both Dion & Charley Pride together, while on tour.
Dion played lead guitar for his father, and entertained our troops on USO tours in Panama, Honduras, Guantanamo Bay and the island of Antigua. He has sung and performed for audiences around the world in countries like England, Ireland, Scotland, Canada and all the continental United States, entertaining crowds of 10,000 or more.
Charley Pride made this statement in his interview with The Boot in 2011 "He's been opening for me," says Charley. "He opened for me in Canada and in Ireland and he gets a standing ovation."
Dion Pride is a true breath of fresh air who so many would agree is welcome in the artistic community today!
Arlington Music Hall Country Music Revue Redux

The rest of the night's program had the son of a country music legend performing four original songs. Dion Pride is the son of Charley Pride, and although some may think he's got some mighty big shoes to fill, he effortlessly stepped out from his father's shadow and is a fine songwriter and musician in his own right. As Michael Hix said during his introduction "he stands in the shadow of no one."
Dion is the kind of performer that gives his audience everything he has, and leaves them wanting more. He led his song selection with Feeling Right at Home, followed by the swampy blues rock sounds of No Mississippi. He sat down at the keyboard next, to sing a romantic ballad he dedicated to his wife, titled Ripple in the Water. If swoons could be heard, the sound would have been deafening.
Dion's last song was prophetically biographical. As he sang Might As Well Be Me, I for one was glad that he was. He could have easily taken the stage and sang covers of songs made famous by his father, but this young man has the confidence and talent to stand on his own two feet. I hope next time we'll get to hear even more from him. Click for Reference.
