About the time Newnan, Georgia native and country legend Alan Jackson was making his first climb up
the charts, the small Georgia town coincidentally was welcoming the birth of another Alan Jackson.
Alan Corbette Jackson, of The Corbette Jackson Band, now an 18-year-old vocal sensation, is doing a
pretty good job launching his own career in country music. He and the band have become a popular
act to party with among college communities around the southeast and take to the road again in August,
Today, Jackson and the band are cutting up the highways, making the same roads as the elder
Jackson from Newnan, on a rapid rise as one of country music's most promising acts. They have
already begun recording their first EP, to be released in the early fall, with Nashville record producer
Jackson delivers a sincere vocal full of soul and emotion. His ability to deliver a song with maturity and
grace is his secret weapon. He sings with conviction of someone twice his age and that is what
connects with audiences.
A big reason for Jackson's diversity within the genre is credited to the various musical influences he
has picked up along the way. In addition to Jackson's vocal talent, he is also a crafty songwriter. His
growing catalog includes a songs co-written with some of Nashville's top songwriters, including Sandy
Ramos who has written hits for acts such as Faith Hill, The Dixie Chicks, Kenny Rogers, Neal McCoy to
name a few.
The Corbette Jackson Band is not afraid of the workload that comes with touring. They have plans to
evangelize their brand of country music at a full-tilt pace. They are scheduled to play over 120 shows
and release the first of two EP projects, all before May of 2011.
