We are Modern Country Acoustic / Electric, we play today's Top Country hits along with some oldies mixed in with some of our own Original music. Strawdawg features singer, songwriter James Hay ( Lead Vocals/ Bass guitar/ Rhythm Guitar ), and Tamara Woodruff ( Lead Vocals / Keyboards / Bck. Vocals ), James is originally from Canada and has toured the USA and Canada for over twenty years, opening up for such artists like, Kenny Chesney, Vince Gill, Kenny Rogers, Travis Tritt, Kentucky Headhunters, Bryan Adams, Michelle Wright etc. to name a few. Tamara is an exceptional Vocalist and Keyboardist is from a musical family , with both parents being musicians, it's no surprise that Tamara's passion for music started early. Traveling the country with her mother ( a song evangelist ), singing in churches all over the country. She immersed herself into the Chicago music scene. Tamara also works as a full time music teacher and has her own studio with over 30 students. Whether it's playing live or teaching young children , Tamara loves to share her passion with others. The rest of the band consists of Gary Neuburger ( Guitar/Bck-Vocals) , Kevin Byrne ( Drums/Percussion/Cajon ). We play everything from, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Jake Owen, ( to ) Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, Kelsey Ballerini , Sugarland, Thompson Square and some old standards like, Skynyrd, Tom Petty, Bon Jovi, BoDeans, Steve Miller Band etc. Weather it's an up close and personal Acoustic Duo/Trio/Full Band or a Full Band Electric show, we do it all and we do it right. And ( yes ), we do take requests . This band is one of the hottest new bands in the Chicagoland area and we have an Acoustic Show that is second to none.
