Chris Brooks & The Silver City Boys are a premier Minnesota-based Country Rock band. This high-energy, dynamic 5-piece with great harmonies mixes Current Radio Hits with Texas and "Red Dirt Country" and their spin on the Classics to keep the dance floor packed. Chris fell in love with Texas and "Red Dirt" Country Music when he attended Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth. After moving home to Minnesota, Chris knew he wanted to share his love for that sound in the North. As a performer, Chris mixes an edgy baritone voice with warm, deep, bass vocals setting him apart from most other country singers. Chris Brooks has shared the stage with country legend David Allan Coe, Mark Chesnutt, Gloriana, Jason Boland and The Stragglers, Sammy Kershaw, Reckless Kelly, Pat Green, Eli Young Band, Randy Houser, Trent Tomlinson, Whitey Morgan & The 78's, Two Tons of Steel and The Randy Rogers Band. A: Summer weekend gigs fill up generally 3-6 months in advance, but please ask. Q: Do I need to rent a stage for the band? A: Staging is preferred, but not required--Although stage rentals are available directly through the band when needed. Q: What about sound, lighting, microphones, power/generators, and other equipment rentals? A: Chris Brooks Band provides sound, lighting, microphones, etc. This is included in your quote. We can also provide quotes for staging, generator rentals and more. Q: How many breaks will the band take? A: On a typical 4-hour show the band will take two 25-30 minute breaks. DJ music via our iPod (or yours) will be available during these breaks to insure that the dance floor keeps going! Q: What about Emcee (MC) duties? A: Chris can handle announcements, introductions, special dance announcements, toast coordination and more. Just ask! Our microphones are also available as needed!
