While the majority of SoCal Country bands are playing Top-40 country pop , Ben Dukes specializes in honky tonk and outlaw country music. Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Jr, Charlie Daniels, Merle Haggard - all of these artists are influences for Dukes, and he incorporates them into his show. That is not to say that Dukes' band is a cover band, far from it. Dukes has been twice featured on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, twice featured at South-By-Southwest, toured nationally, and headlined country festivals as well, all playing his own original material. His goal? To connect with the fans, to get them on their feet, and above all, to give them a good time! "At the end of the day, if the crowd isn't entertained – if they aren't moved, then what are we doing?" That's Dukes' mantra when he steps on stage. Dukes's band is primarily a 6-piece with Fiddle as well as Banjo/Lap Steel in the lineup. The lineup can scale, either up or down, depending on the needs and budget of the client.
