Presenting for Women's (and occasionally Men's !) Breast Cancer Groups
My Story: So...after working onstage as a professional magician and speaker for 35 years
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2014 while living in Hawaii. I wanted to turn my
attention and my shows toward breast cancer survivors but soon realized .....I had no audience!
(Male breast cancer represents fewer than 1% of all B/C cases). I quickly recognized that as a man with a so-called "women's disease" I could offer a very different perspective to women survivors. How are their husbands, boyfriends, partners or kids really feeling about their cancer? How can laughter help women to heal? How can women survive with dignity, strength and above all humor? Despite what they tell you, how do guys really feel about YOUR cancer? And why is my cancer experience just like yours?
I have some answers in a seriously fun program for your breast cancer event !
