Hi! I'm Sammy Obeid, stand up comedian of 15 years and host of 100 Humans on Netflix. I'm a UC Berkeley Applied Math Major and now a full time comedian. I'm Lebanese-Palestinian-Syrian-Italian-American born in Oakland, California, and I'm probably best known for my 1,001 day streak of consecutive stand-up performances. It began on December 26th, 2010, and concluded on September 21st, 2013– four days after an appearance on TBS's Conan, and several months after a segment on America's Got Talent. Breaking the old world record on Day 731, I set the new one with 1,001 Nights of Comedy. Most recently, I was a semi-finalist on NBC's Last Comic Standing. Since the streak, I now tour the country and internationally, performing for hundreds of students at colleges over the school year; and gigs just like yours! My nine years of experience and commitment to performance have put me in front of countless stages, each with unique audiences. From weddings to homeless shelters to retirement homes; if you can imagine a type of crowd, I've entertained them. This includes hosting showcases of performers and MCing as well. You can expect a performer with the ability to engage with the specific needs of each show, tailoring my material to the room and occasion, while maintaining a rapid-fire of intelligent, engaging comedy. My diverse roots and degree in mathematics from UC-Berkeley have provided insights about family, relationships, language, and more. Yes, I even make math funny. Above all else, you can expect polite professionalism and punctuality, the sort required to manage my world-record streak of stand-up shows. After the event, I'm happy to greet and spend time with guests, same as I do after every college performance and their many students. When I'm on board, you can expect a successful and funny evening!
