Sitka Hollow Strings Acoustic Duo from Gettysburg, PA

Sitka Hollow Strings is an eclectic musical duo consisting of mandolinist and citternist Mike Shaffer and cellist Danielle Shaffer. We play all genres, but specialize in classical, American traditional music, and popular classics. We also take requests, and will work with you to find the perfect balance of music for your event. Danielle is a classically-trained cellist, holding music degrees from The Hartt School of Music and PSU. Mike is a musician of the folk tradition from Franklin County, Pennsylvania, who also performs as a historical storyteller and strolling minstrel. He has a special interest in the tales and songs of the Pennsylvania Germans.
