The Shilakowsky String Quartet specializes in music for ceremonies, cocktail hour or dinner music. In addition to classical selections, we play music of all types arranged for the quartet, including Italian, Jewish and other ethnic songs, pop songs, operatic themes, jazz, and Broadway. Harris Shilakowsky, first violinist & leader of the Shilakowsky String Quartet has over 20 years experience in organizing professional musicians for weddings and other special occasions and concerts for sponsoring organizations. We work with and provide other soloists, instrumentalists, and vocalists when requested & split down into smaller groups such as string trio, or my violin-guitar duo which plays jazz standards, classical pieces with a Latin beat, country fiddle tunes, and more.

Harris Shilakowsky was a pleasure to work with. He and his quartet are so talented and professional. Our ceremony was held outdoors, as was our cocktail hour, and the exceptional quartet music made the whole experience a dream come true. My husband and I wanted to make our ceremony personal and Harris and his quartet were flexible and accomodating; it was beautiful!
