THE PIANO MAN Leon Harp is a pianist performing pop music in a classical style. Leon entertains audiences with his piano stylings on piano. great for weddings, banquets, parties, etc. Leon plays many pop standards like Sanfrancisco,Embraceable You and Love Boat.Leon also plays keyboard big band favorites like New York, Hello Dolly, and many more. Leon is the executive producer for a ROCK CONCERT at the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center on Nov 2nd. Leon's producing efforts received a 5 star rating for his band's performance at Lockheed-Martin in Orlando, Florida in May 2010. Harp is a Chicago native now living near Orlando, Florida. His piano studies include New York, Judson College, Murray State University. Leon has written 2 piano concertos, The Truckers Concerto and Concerto in Bb, more recently. The Truckers Concerto has been performed on sevral occasions in Central Florida by a community orchestra in Deland, Florida. He has been performing professionally in Florida since 1985. Leon is also an independent music/arranger director for theatrical production companies having worked for Seminole County Repetoire Company and Spot Light Theater of Central Florida. Harp is also a video director for the Harp Video Productions company, and is known as a music producer. As a composer Harp is co-writer of a 2 1/2hr musical "The Christmas Miracle, seeing 7 performances in Christmas 2011. The music from this show is available in most digital onlets. Most noted is "Ring The Bells Of Christmas" by The No Name Band, the band also being a creation of Leon Harp. Harps Band, Inc is the flagship company for Harp Music Productions, Harp Video Productions, Hot Coffee Music (bmi) and Stir Records. Other shows that Leon has been musical director for recently are Alice the musical, The Boyfriend, when Sasha Got Sucked Up The Chimney, Dracula Rock Show, Christmas Nuncrackers, Wizard of Oz (2yrs), etc.
