Joe Amato is a professional solo and studio guitarist based in San Diego. He earned his guitar performance degree studying classical music, but also specializes in jazz, tango, bossa nova, and pop. Now one of the few guitarists performing with a seven string classical guitar, his range as a soloist has greatly increased. Joe is available as a soloist for weddings and events, and performs regularly with another guitar, flute, violin, cello, or double bassist as a duo. The guitar duo Paper Moon, made up of Joe Amato and Scot Taber, has performed at many of San Diego county's top resorts, hotels and wineries.

Joe was wonderful to work with. He made everything very easy for me in planning my wedding music. The music at the wedding was absolutly fantastic. It completely set the mood for our wedding. We could not be happier with how everything turned out!!! Thanks for the wonderful job Joe!!
