After years of success performing in the West and Northeast, PIANIST/ORGANIST Christine Wilks has relocated to the South and is now available to perform for special events all along the east coast. She uses her music to enhance WEDDING CEREMONIES/RECEPTIONS, BUSINESS DINNERS, LUNCHEONS, GRADUATIONS, AWARD BANQUETS, CASUAL DINING, PRIVATE PARTIES, and other special events; bringing elegance through beautiful classical music, or a laid back social atmosphere with a combination of JAZZ, POP, BROADWAY, and OLDIES. Classically trained by Russian pianists Adelina Krivoshena and Asya Markova in her youth, Christine fine tuned her performing skills and performed and fell in love with music of all types while earning Bachelors of Music at Brigham Young University specializing in piano performance.
Christine has given classical solo concerts in states from New York to Utah since the age of sixteen. Performances included appearances in the *Temple Square Concert Series for the 2002 Winter Olympics*, as well as the Brigham Young University *Chopin* and *Prokofiev festivals* and *Concerto Competitions*. She has performed extensively in collaberation with singers and instrumentalists, from brass, and strings to percussion and woodwinds, and recently appeared as a guest performer with the Triangle Wind Ensemble in Raleigh, NC. As part of her studies at BYU, Christine was also trained in classical organ, and has over eight years experience playing for various religious ceremonies, including WEDDINGS, BAPTISMS, RING CEREMONIES, CHOIR PRESENTATIONS, and WEEKLY SERVICES on both the piano and organ.
In addition to classical work, Christine has performed as a keyboardist and percussionist for a variety of bands, whose styles include african, jazz, latin, caribbean, and new age music.
Christine loves to make music, and takes pride in her professionalism, adaptability, class, and quality of performance.
