Soprano Amy Bullard's crystal clear and beautifully rich voice has won the hearts of critics and audiences alike. She is known best for her interpretation of Mozart soubrette "maid" roles and her sacred music performances, including the well-known "Ave Maria", stand out as uniquely elegant and true.
Ms. Bullard most recently appeared as Blonde in Mozart's Abduction from the Seraglio, as Despina in Cosi fan tutte, and as Suor Genovieffa in Puccini's tragic opera Suor Angelica. Earlier this year she performed in two concerts with the Bakersfield Symphony. The first, as Susanna in a concert version of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, and the second as the soprano soloist in Faure's Requiem. As a chorister with the San Diego Opera she performed in Norma, Otello, and Madama Butterfly.
She began her study in 1990 and three years later was a finalist in Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Awards. After graduating from the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts she attended the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, earning both Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees, becoming a member of the music honor society Pi Kappa Lambda.
With USC Thornton Opera Ms. Bullard performed Sister Constance in Poulenc's Dialogues of the Carmelites, Despina in Cosi fan tutte, Adele in Die Fledermaus, and Emmie in Benjamin Britten's Albert Herring. At the Bay View Music Festival in Michigan she performed Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, and the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute which was reviewed in the Petoskey News-Review as having, "…very clear and precise coloratura."
With the Aspen Opera Theater Center, at the Aspen Music Festival, she performed the title role in Janacek's Cunning Little Vixen and Etherea in Broucek.
Ms. Bullard has performed as a soloist with the Bakersfield Symphony, San Bernardino Symphony, Glendale Symphony, Zimriah Chorale, California Youth Theatre, the San Gabriel Valley Philharmonic Artist Association, and was the featured performer for the Viennese Culture Club's Opera Ball, and the Blue Ribbon Club of the Los Angeles Music Center.

Ms. Bullard has been the soloist with the Beverly Hills Christian Science Church since 1998. She has served as cantor at the Cross in the Woods Catholic Shrine in Indian River, Michigan, the St. Augustine Cathedral in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and the Our Lady of the Angeles Cathedral in Los Angeles. She has performed various sacred works such as Mozart's Requiem, Mozart's Mass in C minor, K.427, Vivaldi's Gloria, Faure's Requiem, Handel's Messiah, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, and more. In 2005 she released a recording of sacred solos for soprano and piano.
