Colleen is a professional harpist who has been providing high-quality live harp music for concerts and special events for 20 years. She plays regularly for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, wedding receptions and parties, and corporate or other special events. Since 2014, she has also presented solo and chamber music concerts throughout Virginia with the aid of the Virginia Commission for the Arts.

Whether you are looking for a soloist or a chamber musician, Colleen has a broad repertoire base and a keen interest in making your event as special as it can be. She often learns new pieces for events and enjoys working closely with clients to customize musical selections to their satisfaction. She offers standard wedding classics like Canon in D as well as show-stopping virtuoso harp pieces and current popular songs. She is comfortable making musical recommendations for a variety of musical tastes and happily accommodates her clients' musical requests.

Colleen usually performs on a 47-string concert grand pedal harp, but can also perform on 36-string lever harp by request. She is available for events in Virginia and North Carolina, and she concertizes regularly in the mid-Atlantic states, New England, and West Virginia.

Colleen is a nationally-recognized soloist, a winner of the American Harp Society's national Anne Adams Awards, and she holds performance degrees in harp from the University of Illinois (BM) and the Yale School of Music (DMA, MMA and MM). She performs regularly as a tenured principal harpist with the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra in New London, CT, and with her horn-and-harp duo Apple Orange Pair in both New England and the mid-Atlantic. She has performed in diverse settings with celebrated artists, ranging from the Yale Philharmonia in Carnegie Hall, the Philadelphia Orchestra in the Kimmel Center, and the Aspen Chamber Symphony with Joshua Bell at the Aspen Music Festival, to playing back-up harp for Kanye West's Chicago-area shows when she lived in Illinois.

Colleen teaches harp on the music faculties of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and Liberty University in Lynchburg.
