AWARD-WINNING SOLO GUITARIST, COMPOSER, & VOCALIST Hailed by NBC News for making "…the guitar sing like it was invented only to be in his hands," native Oregonian Tye Austin (age 32) is the most important solo guitarist, vocalist, and composer to come out of the Beaver State. Currently based out of his off-grid homestead on the Oregon Coast, Tye is available for all events anywhere in the US. As a classically-trained guitar virtuoso, he is capable of playing any musical genre from flamenco to Bossa nova, jazz, modern pop music and more. In addition to his instrumental repertoire, he can also sing popular songs in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese while playing guitar. Within a decade of picking up the guitar, Tye has performed solo all over the world at NYC’s Carnegie Hall, London's Royal Albert Hall, Shanghai’s Lidoway, Spain’s Albaicin Theatre, and many other prestigious venues. In October, 2017, he was invited to perform solo for over three-hundred world leaders at the United Nations Headquarters in NYC. One year later, Tye was asked to perform solo for the former Australian Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, at the Trump World Tower on the UN Plaza. He was also commissioned to compose and perform French renaissance music for guitar and string quartet at the premiere party for the Netflix original series, Versailles, at the US French Embassy in Manhattan. He has won multiple first prizes from international music competitions including the American Protege and the UK Grand Prize Virtuoso.
