Jesse has now added the Beatles Wedding, along with programs of 60's and classic sentimental pop pieces, from Simon and Garfunkel to Joni Mitchell. His ability to play music from Bach Cantata's to the Beatles keeps him busy as a Wedding Guitarist. 25 of the greatest Carols and Christian anthems make him a Holiday favorite.
Jesse Vernier began formal music studies at the University of Idaho where he studied with guitarist and cellist Howard Jones and with further studies is Salt Lake City with jazz great Lee Robinson Mr. Vernier has also participated in master classes with many of the legendary virtuosi of our time including Pepe Romero, Julian Bream and Johnny Smith. Mr. Vernier is founder of both the Sierra Nevada and the Auburn Camerata chamber ensembles. He has performed as a solo recitalist, chamber musician and accompanist throughout the western states. In addition to touring with soprano Michelle Coder, he has played a series of concerts with the internationally acclaimed Harrington String Quartet. Mr. Vernier has been a guitar soloist with the Auburn Symphony performing Joaquin Rodrigo's " Concierto de Aranjuez" and gave a highly praised performance of Castelnuovo-Tedesco's "D Major Concerto" with the Paradise Symphony. Christmas music is one of Mr. Vernier's strongest repertoires. He plays most of the famous carols and accompaniments in virtuoso arrangements. Perfect for holiday parties and family gatherings where music is held in high esteem.
What is "Good Wedding Party Music"?
Good wedding party music "stimulates" while remaining unobtrusive. It is never intended to dominate its environment. Dinner conversation is always more important than its accompanying music. Everyone enjoys listening to dinner music, but the privilege of leaving it unattended is the real luxury of enjoying its companionship.
A good dinner musician knows the art of restrained virtuosity. It is never about you. It is about food, conversation, and most of all "high spirits". The Romantic Guitarist "accompanies" your dinner guests through their evening, touching everyone with a tune or style that is bound to stir emotions and fond memories. From movie theme's to the Spanish Baroque; sentimental standards, lute music of Renaissance Europe and music of the great masters all cleverly arranged for guitar. This is the art of the "Romantic Guitar".
Perhaps the most import facet of playing parties and wedding is the sound scheme. Mr. Vernier uses a "state of the art surround sound system" which if used correctly, allows everyone to hear without conflict or competition. Noise suppression is the key to intimacy, which is the gateway to richer emotional experiences.
The famed Carmel Guitar Society labels Mr. Vernier as "World Class by any standards". He has also been hired to play in the "Celebration of the Spanish Guitar" festival for the New Mexico State Museums this Fall.
Inquire at the appropriate time about what repertoire can be available for your special occasion. And a last reminder. Sound design and strength of presentation can make all the difference in your wedding. Make inquires on these subjects with whomever you hire for your celebration.
