Piano Forte is an exciting new classical duo formed in December 2013 by father and son team Neal and Joshua Anderson. Piano Forte will bring a dynamic blend of classical, traditional, patriotic, sacred, and modern music to your special event. Combining over three centuries of some of the best solo piano and accompanied vocal favorites, Piano Forte has twice been named the best musical ensemble in a decade at Atlanta venues. Piano Forte was the highest ranked musical act at the 2014 Cherokee's Got Talent competition, and Joshua was awarded first place in the youth competition for his solo piano performance.
Piano Forte specializes in customer satisfaction. In our corporate events, we have a 100% re-book rate having been brought back numerous times by guest demands. While new to Gigmasters, Piano Forte are seasoned performers with a wide range of styles and languages including English, French, German, Italian and Latin repertoire.
Neal Anderson is a classically-trained Helden (heroic) tenor able to perform both full baritone as well as most tenor arias. Having studied under the direction of Capitol City Opera founder Donna Angel, Neal has an expansive musical vocabulary.
Joshua Anderson is an award-winning pianist with eleven years of training. He has participated in numerous competitions at the local, regional, state, and national levels. He also received first alternate at the Merril C. Calhoun prodigy scholarship in 2014. Joshua first began accompanying his father in a 2013 Three Tenors concert presented by Capitol City Opera.
Piano Forte is named after the Italian terms for soft and loud, symbolizing their broad range of musical interpretation and dynamics. The name is also an homage to the Italian name for Cristofori's original invention, "il pianoforte", the piano.
Piano Forte is available primarily as a duo, but optionally as a solo piano performer, as well as an ensemble with other collaborating musicians.
