Frederick Girard has been called one of the "best guitarists" to come out of Detroit, "a true musician's musician", and a "vocal powerhouse". He's performed at thousands of events, entertaining over a million people in all types of venues across North America and the Caribbean including top Society and Fortune 500 events, concerts, festivals and for over eighty thousand people at the Pontiac Silverdome, and national television audiences of millions.
Frederick was a member of pop icon Badfinger, and has toured, recorded, or performed with a long list of respected artists. Among them: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Martha Reeves, the Four Tops, Captain and Tennille, Maynard Ferguson, the Rockets, Phil Keaggy, Kent Henry, Doc Holiday, Spyro Gyra, Jack Wilkins, Doc Watson, The Second Avenue Band, Christopher James Gang, Osiris, Dana Jorgensen, Barnum and Bailey Circus, in Jesus Christ Superstar, Porgy & Bess, and has served as Music Director or led congregational worship at many churches and events including 10,000+ mega congregations.
Frederick was the house band lead guitarist for Detroit's top blues club in his early twenties, and was first chair guitarist at all five schools he attended including Interlochen, Wolftrap and Ohio State. He started playing guitar at age 6, professionally by 14, and received his first recording contract at age 17 with Bob Seger's management after winning a state championship.
Frederick co-founded and ran "Detroit's Number One Recording Studio" -Metro Times Magazine, and was co-founder and CEO of Event Horizons, which at the time included the nation's largest, and most respected mobile wedding and event entertainment provider, earning a spot on the INC. 500 List of Fastest Growing Companies. He employed and mentored hundreds of entertainers who performed over ten thousand events for millions of guests and was instrumental in bringing the Karaoke phenomenon to the U.S., receiving numerous accolades in the New York Times, DJ Times, and many other trade and financial publications.
Frederick's been a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (the Grammys), received a gubernatorial appointment to the Michigan Council for the Arts, listings in Who's Who Among Outstanding Americans and the Better Business Bureau, and joined the American Federation of Musicians and MENSA.
