OFF THE RECORD IS:
Emily Williams – Lead Vocalist
Emily Williams has been singing and performing all over the United States and Canada. Her most memorable stop being a performance at Carnegie Hall with the Cincinnati Pops. However, nothing could match her experience with the house band 2 Ton Ray Gun in Indianapolis IN, where she met and married her husband Lloyd the bass player. She is featured on four albums and a couple of her own children's recordings. Her background is a BA in musical theater from Indiana University.
Mike Rut – Lead Guitar / Vocals
For the past 14 years, Mike has owned and operated Mustard Seed Recording Studio. He also is the “Executive Director of Arts” at K2, a local Church in Salt Lake City. One of his songs was published by EMI in 2006. His bands have opened for Toto and Robin Trower.
Oliver Thomas – Keyboards / Guitar / Vocals
Thomas has played in a variety of original and cover bands playing whatever instrument 'needs to be played'.
He has provided 'a little help to his friends' on various recording projects and released a single back in the 80's that unfortunately failed to bring him the fame and fortune he so vividly envisioned. Oliver originally hails from Toronto, Canada (eh?), but has enjoyed the music scene here in Salt Lake over the last 10 years.
Jeff Brigman Percussionist
Jeff, from Dallas Texas, started playing drums at 12 yrs old. His first experience on stage with a band was at age 14. His band had received permission to play at a local Honky Tonk in Dallas, as long as adults accompanied the band to the bar. His band played one Quiot Riot song...The booing started at the guitar solo and did not end until the band left the stage and the Jukebox took over. Tears being held back...Jeff was in love with performing.
Norm Kapera – Bassist
Norm started playing the bass at the age of 16.
Through the years that followed, he has played bass for many different bands.
Norm can play a wide and varied range of music. He has performed in bands that have played many different venues and establishments over the years, both local and out of state. Some of these bands have opened for such acts as Restless Heart, Confederate Rail Road, Diamond Rio, Chris LeDoux, Andy Griggs, and The Bellamy Brothers. He is a veteran musician, with years of experience.
