The Bug Family Band Children's Music Singer from Oakland, CA

The Bug Family Band plays original folk rock for kids and former kids, along with classic childrens music. They hatched in the SF Bay Area in 2010 as Ladybug Picnic, & metamorphosized into their mature form while recording their debut CD in 2013. At full strength, the band consists of 4 adults (drums, piano, acoustic guitar, and vocals/percussion) and 2 kids, but bandleader Joe Bug also performs solo, or with a smaller group. The Bug Family's sound is characterized by rich vocal harmonies, interactive sing-alongs, and clever tunes that kids and their adults can all appreciate! They have become a favorite on the family stage at High Sierra Music Festival, as well as non-profit venues, museums, birthday parties, and school fundraisers across the San Francisco Bay Area. The Bug Family is available to book in any configuration from solo singer/guitarist to full band. They also have their own sound system, scalable for house parties to small-medium venues.
