The Charles River Strings Chamber Music Duo from Millis, MA

The Charles River Strings performs for all sorts of events, including weddings, wedding anniversaries, parties, dinners, corporate events, festivals, ceremonies and more. Our musical repetoire includes music from Bach to Niblock as well as Irish fiddle tunes, klezmer tunes and more. We primarily perform string duos for two violins or violin and viola, however there are other musicians we play with too, when we are asked for a trio , a quartet or even a string orchestra for events. Jacob Litoff plays violin and viola and got his education at Boston University under Roman Totenberg, Kenneth Sarch, and Mary Hess. He also studied with Robert Coleman, Burton Kaplan and George Neikrug. He has played all over New England in Springfield Symphony, The Dirk Hillyer Festival orchestral, The Charles River Sinfonietta, Maine State Ballet, and many other orchestras, and he also performs chamber music for concerts, events, and more. He was concertmaster of the Chaminade opera company for 12 years and presently is concertmaster of the Charles River Sinfonietta. He teaches several violin and viola students in addition to freelancing. Jagan Nath Khalsa studied under Fryderick Sadowski at St. Louis Conservatory. He has devoted his musical life to playing for church, yoga and meditation centers, community theater, and organizing his own chamber music events. Together he and Jacob have visited in private homes and public venues informal appearances they fondly call "random acts of violins." There are several other professional musicians that we've performed with for occasions/events.
