Who we are

GigMasters is the marketplace for every event, providing party planners and hosts with an online tool to find entertainment and event services of all kinds. We’ve helped facilitate over 275,000 bookings and have over 70,000 event vendors, ranging from musicians and photographers to impersonators and magicians. GigMasters empowers people to make a living doing what they love, and we take pride in being able to do so.

Who you are

You are an experienced software developer with a passion for technology. You are focused on writing clean, well-tested code for a high-traffic web environment.

You can not only implement a feature, but be involved with the project definition and be willing to innovate. You embrace the use of new technologies and don’t use the same tool for every job.

What you do

You will work closely with a team of talented developers to build tools our users love for the web and mobile devices using ASP.NET WebApi and MVC, Xamarin, AngularJS and other JavaScript frameworks.  You will be fully immersed in all aspects of web development, coding the inner workings of our site, our API, and mobile applications.

How we work

Our work environment is fast paced, high energy, and highly collaborative. Developers are expected to work cohesively with the Product team to help determine feature sets, scope, and the best possible solutions to problems – and then implement them. We use GitHub and take Pull Requests seriously. We develop real-world projects in phases within a defined process and ship often with our automatic build server and deployment process.

What you bring

  • Deep knowledge of C# .NET , Java, or similar server-side technology
  • Skills in JavaScript and HTML/CSS
  • Experience with SQL
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • A drive to get things done
  • iOS or Android development experience a plus
