Outside of the corporate arena, Darren has been an emcee for programs at the Chicago Cultural Center, including a birthday celebration for the City of Chicago which featured Mayor Daley and violinist Johnny Frigo. He also emceed the Screen Actors Guild Award show at Planet Hollywood. His own live on-stage talk show, The Real Darren Stephens, was performed at the Ivanhoe Theatre in Chicago and had a fun 60's retro style, with a lot of music and audience interaction.

He's appeared on hundreds of radio and television commercials for companies such as McDonalds, SC Johnson, Quaker Oats, Keebler, Valvoline, Abbott Labs and Ford.
