The Brazilian-born, NY-based artist, Débora Watts, performs a wide variety of Brazilian and American jazz standards. All the classic bossas, jazz sambas, the great MPB songs (popular music of Brazil) are among her favorites to sing as well as the more exotic Brazilian rhythms like forró and baião. Débora's rich repertoire is always well supported by some of the finest backing musicians in NY City. Débora is a gifted composer who writes many of the songs she performs. The testimonial bellow about Débora was written by the legendary jazz musician, Benny Golson: "Upon hearing this extraordinary CD, after so many years of having been in Rio with Dizzy Gillespie's band, I was immediately transported back there during some happy, festive occasion. Debora, with an irresistible drawing power, uses her voice to captivate, not only the ear of the listener, but to make him (me) a totally willingly prisoner of emotions. She, of course, uses the physical attributes of her tongue, her larynx, her pharynx, and her breath to accomplish this, but she also effectively uses her merciful heart as well in soothing and persuading people." And the testimonial bellow was written by Jassvan DeLima, DJ of WKCR 89.9 FM NY, about Débora's live performance at the radio studio at the 15th Jobim Fest: "I love hearing Débora's CD but listening to her performing live is 10 times better!"

Our wedding guests were from all over the world. We had doctors, university professors, and even an English Magistrate in attendance. So I put some real thought into how we could all have fun and get people dancing whilst still keeping things classy and formal. I contacted Deborah Watts via Gigmasters and we booked her. One year later Debora and her band showed up and absolutely brought down the house. Just about everybody in attendance was dancing the entire time and people told us afterwards that ours was the best wedding they had ever been to --- it was quite obvious to me that Debora's incredible performance was the reason why. Thanks again Debora!

Debora and her band performed brilliantly at our wedding on Nov 12. She was very responsive to our needs, answering our calls for information and request at all hours of the day prior to the event. During and after the event many of our wedding attendees commented on the outstanding caliber of Debora and her bands talents. Debora and her band were very professional, dressed well and exhibited excellent talent. Their sound was very pleasing and fit the theme of our wedding perfectly. Their appearance added elegance to our event. We would recommend Debora to anyone who is planning an event and wants Brazilian, Latin or Bossanova music.
