Threshold Rocks 60s Band from Modesto, CA

Threshold is a Modesto-based, well seasoned “feel good - party band.” Mike Collins and John de Jonge have been playing in bands together since 1998. In 2003, their desire to form a six-piece horn dance-band that would play 60s and 70s Rock n' Roll, Motown and R&B (with a little swing and country thrown in) took shape, and Threshold was formed. Threshold is the epitome of a feel-good Party band. The band consists of a tight trumpet and saxophone horn section, a lead guitar player that toured with Louise Mandrell for 7 years, an incredible lead singer and the best drummer/bass player rhythm section in the valley. All of the members sing, creating great vocal harmonies. They have performed at the Modesto Oktoberfest, Dublin Summer Concert Series, Pittsburg Seafood Festival, Stanislaus County Fair, San Joaquin County Fair, Modesto - Graffiti Night, Isleton Crawdad Festival, Oakdale Chocolate Festival, Manteca Pumpkin Fair, Hilmar Dairy Festival, Stockton Miracle Mile Night, other various street fairs and numerous private and/or Corporate events. Some of their past clients include the Cities : Dublin, Lodi, Tracy, and Modesto Chambers of Commerce, the Sacramento chapter of the “Make a Wish Foundation”, Every Child Gets a Chance of Manteca and the Sierra Railroad. Threshold takes much of it's inspiration, and many of their musical selections, from the recordings of Tower of Power, Chicago, The Blues Brothers, Wilson Picket, Huey Lewis and Sam and Dave to name just a few.
