Fade to Blue Blues band is a Chicago style blues group, major influences are , Johnny Winter, Gary Moore, Jeff Healey, Freddie King, Albert King, Howlin' Wolf. We call it "High Octane Blues" since we like to rock the house. here is a little bit about the guys in the band. Craig Nelson Vocals, guitar, keys and harmonica, songwriter Born in St Louis, Craig has been a music lover since he was a small child , blues fanatic, funk and soul lover since hearing Ray Charles at age of 7. In St Louis, always a blues town, Craig found out about Albert King, BB King, Johnny Winter and all the blues greats. He decided that the blues better than rock or pop. After years of playing in rock and blues bands, Craig spent 6+ years living “in” and playing blues in Chicago. Living the blues as they say …playing blues festivals, blues bars, and other blues venues in the Chicago area. Craig moved to Fort Lauderdale a year ago and is determined to “Blues it up' here in South Florida. From traditional blues like Howlin' Wolf to newer stuff like Jeff Healey, he and the band are proponents of “High Octane Blues”, Blues that will touch your soul and at the same time blow your socks off. Scott Pearson, Guitars A refugee from the spandex and big hair days of the New Jersey club circuit, Scott first became interested in guitar at the age of 9 when his parents bought him his first instrument. After a few years of boring lessons, he found his aunt's old records of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple and the lights finally came on. After playing in several rock and metal bands, Scott eventually followed the direction of Gary Moore and soon became hooked on blues greats like BB King, Freddie King and Peter Green. Fade To Blue is the perfect blend of traditional blues played with a rock attitude that Scott and the band excel at. Tony Mucci, Bass Born in Yonkers, NY, Tony has always been influenced by The Blues. From the first time he played the song Kansas City on 2 strings from E at age 8, through early teens in garages, into the bar scene in his twenties, playing a variety of rock but always most enjoying covers from Led Zeppelin, Cream, Bad Company, Johnny Winter, ZZ Top, and the like. It's now time to go back to the roots of all this great music that originated in America, and Fade To Blue is the way. Tony Caranna, Drums Born and raised in Mississippi, Tony is an excellent drummer, great back beat and solid tempo Our song list includes everything from Ray Charles to Muddy Waters and all in between. We love to get the audience involved and also up on the dance floor.
