Mike and the Band are awesome! Such a perfect set up for our small wedding. Learned a tough song for our first dance and absolutely crushed it! Great vibe at cocktail hour, and awesome for dancing and drinks later. Highly complimented by all our guests.

These guys made our wedding so special; it would not have been the same without them. They nailed everything and we would marry each other again just to book them again. Mike and the Vermont Bluegrass Session Band were the epitome of professional in all of our correspondences. Prompt replies and their willingness to adhere to the covid protocols for the party left us feeling safe and confident in our entertainment for the evening. They are an extremely talented group of musicians and created the perfect atmosphere for our outdoors party. They showed up well ahead of time, and are kind and easy to talk to. Nothing but great things to say about these fellows. Starting with the phenomenal talent and overall rocking-ness of the music- amazing pickers, all of them, followed by their professionalism and the ease with which they made the night go, to their friendliness and willingness to go with the flow and have fun right along with us, I could not be more impressed. They travelled farther than they normally do, played the heck of the whole three hours they played, and just overall slayed the night. I can't say enough about the VBSB, they are amazing. Book them yesterday, go see them perform around the area, they rule.

These guys are amazing. Our contact was Mike and he was very communicative and super accommodating- even though we had a bunch of last minute details to iron out.
They are true players. Incredible musicians with a massive library to draw from. Being a collective, they offered a few options on instrumentation depending on who qas available. They were on time, well organized and well equipped. Our wedding guests and the staff at the venue were super impressed and kept complimenting and asking who they were. They played for our guest arrival and cocktail hour. They even played our processional on short notice. They really set the scene. We can’t thank them enough.

The Vermont Bluegrass Session Band made our wedding perfect! They were so great to work with and accommodated our musical preferences. They worked with us to make our ceremony music unique and reflective of us. We made a point to cut our post-ceremony pictures short so that we could enjoy the band at cocktail hour, and it was a great decision. VBSB was fantastic, and our we got a ton of similar feedback from our guests. Talented, accommodating, and fun, they just plain put on a great show. We're hopeful we get to enjoy a full set in the near future. Two thumbs way up!

My wife and I have a real passion for bluegrass and wanted to create a weekend adventure for guests of our barn wedding. VBB were fantastic to work with, communicating well,and took the time to learn song requests. They were accommodating when we asked for two types of sets and worked well with our coordinator on pre-ceremony sound checks. The band has a wonderful authentic bluegrass style which is surprisingly hard to find in the northeast, let alone for a wedding. Many guests initially expressed surprise/concern that we weren't having a DJ playing hits but everyone left complementing the music choice. We highly recommend working with VBB, they were amazing!

VBSB was so great; pretty much everyone at our wedding commented how much they loved the bluegrass music. Matt was easy to work with and went out of his way to accommodate special requests, even to the point of finding a fiddler for the song we wanted our wedding party to walk down the aisle to. The band handled song requests from guests and had everyone on the dance floor. It was a very relaxed and fun vibe. They played both our ceremony (at Jay Peak's barn) and reception and were perfect for both--highly recommend!

This band is amazing. We had them for our wedding and opinionated friends and family loved them. They played a beautiful strings our ceremony, a acoustical group session for the cocktail party and got everyone dancing at the reception. Even if you don't think bluegrass is your thing (though it should be), Matt and his bandmates cover a variety of genres. We loved them all. They covered bands like U2 and the Beatles, played our favorites alt-country tunes and mixed in some great string sessions in between. Our friends have been talking about them for weeks afterwards. Matt was awesome to work with and gave us great ideas. We want this band at all of our parties!

They were terrific at our rehearsal dinner. Great during dinner and then they had people dancing after dinner. Numerous people came up to me to comment on how good they were. They were prompt, professional, and were very flexible and accommodating. The mic and PA system they brought produced exceptional sound quality. I highly recommend them!

What an amazing throwdown of bluegrass and an excellent crew to work with. As a long time bluegrass fan, I could not have been more excited about their mix of traditional tunes with some well-known crowd pleasers. If you are into bluegrass, these guys will not disappoint. I think more importantly, they made the whole process SO easy. The last thing you want to worry about when you are planning your wedding is a band that fails to communicate or makes your life more difficult. Matt and his band went out of their way to make our event perfect, learned a couple special requests for us, and never had us worrying. If you want to have fun at your wedding, hire them now

Our wedding would not have been the same without Matt and his incredibly talented band. We knew they were going to be good, but they really blew us away. They played an awesome set during the cocktail hour and dinner and had EVERYONE dancing their hearts out after dinner. They created such a fun, comfortable atmosphere. Everyone kept coming up to us asking us how we found them. Besides being amazing artists, they are also incredibly thoughtful and professional. We didn't have to spend a single moment worrying- we knew they had it all under control. They were a pleasure to work with and were very flexible with making sure everything was the way we imagined.
