This group was fabulous! So easy to work with, professional and talented. I highly recommend them to any one in Western North Carolina or Upstate South Carolina.

Nice but didn’t introduce themselves or talk to the crowd ( nor myself). They are very talented, I just wished they would have engaged the crowd more and been more friendly. There was poor communication due to them being late and rushed beforehand and not having time to eat they had to take a break and also stopped early without warning. Poor communication. But I’d still say for the cost they are good- and I’m thankful.

Very interesting review...we were later than we like to be, but when we arrived, we were greeted by the guy running the video collage on the computer, around 40 people there, and I wasn’t sure who Lora was, but she definitely knew who the band was. We were asked to take a break while everyone watched the presentation on the large screen, and ate during this time. We did stop about 15 mins early because tables were being loudly taken down, and kids were popping balloons, which sounded like 40 cal hand guns going off...the party was over. We played in the background, as most folks ask for during dinner events of this type, sorry we came across as unfriendly but th

We booked West End String Band for our ceremony and cocktail hour and they were the BEST! The ceremony was beautiful and they learned an instrumental we requested for our processional. They played so many of the songs we requested and they sounded amazing. They were so easy to work with during the planning process and did not disappoint. They made it everything we wanted and more for our mountain wedding in Asheville and even helped us with a last minute microphone for the ceremony. If you want a tried and true bluegrass band that will also play the hits everyone loves, this is your band. I cannot rave about them enough. You won't be disappointed.

Where do I begin!? West End String Band was PHENOMENAL at our elopement celebration. Every guest was impressed by the amount of talent in front of them! They learned a song for us and it meant a lot to my husband and his fraternity brothers. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND hiring West End String Band for any event! They were so nice and definitely brought life to the party. I wouldn't hire any other band! Thanks WESB!

When my daughter, the bride, and I arrived at Cade's Cove Methodist Church for her historically-themed Appalachian wedding, we could hear this band playing the most beautiful soft bluegrass I have ever heard. We loved this group! We hosted a community event and they fit right in. They were very flexible in doing what we needed. We were so busy setting up and getting things ready ourselves that it was nice that they just did what they needed to do. They seemed to take care of themselves. We were in an open field and their sound carried great. We loved their style and people seemed to really enjoy the music! Great job guys!!!

We hired WESB to play the "tailgate" for our Super Bowl party, and we could not be happier with how things turned out. From their first quote they sent, they were always prompt and thorough with their communications, and willing to do whatever they could to accommodate our requests. We had people of all ages, some blue grass lovers, others that would likely tell you they either didn't like bluegrass, or they had never listened to it, and yet all were in agreement that the band was a hit! I would definitely hire these guys again, and we've already discussed the possibility of them playing next year's party

BOOK THESE GUYS! I'm serious. We couldn't be more happy with our experience. They were so easy to work with and they seem to know just what to play. We thoroughly enjoyed having the West End String Band play at our inaugural fundraising event at the Greenville Zoo. We had a mixed crowd, so my only suggestion would be maybe next time to play some different covers of songs in the playlist so that the music will appeal to the entire audience. Otherwise, they were incredibly professional, frendly and gracious. Would definitely book them again for a future event!
