If you're looking for a real authentic Bluegrass band then Walking In Tradition is the band for you. The band is known for their solid musicianship, highly entertaining stage show, southern charm and tremendous personality.
Bluegrass music is a true American artform and most would agree that it was officially given birth in 1946. As with many art-forms, the founders or pioneers leave the deepest, most memorable impressions.
Walking In Tradition is an ensemble of artists who are passionate about performing and preserving this wonderful art-form. Our emphasis is on material from the late 40's through the early 60's that was performed or recorded by many of our music's early pioneers. The traditions and sounds formulated many years ago inspired our name as we walk in the traditions established by our music's founders.
Our objective is to share this traditional music with as many as
possible at festivals, county fairs, civic functions, private events,
weddings, and church gatherings.

* Also - You've probably noticed that every band on here is portraying themselves as the best thing since "sliced bread". We'll be real up front
with you. We're not the best Bluegrass band in the nation. But we can say with confidence that we are the BEST traditional Bluegrass band on gigmasters.
**Things to keep in mind when hiring the band: You are hiring someone to stand on stage and sing/play plus: equipment and instruments, hours of rehearsal time and space, transportation to and from the gig, hours of lessons that was spent on learning and perfecting their talent and craft, outfits, promotion, website fees, taxes, phone and internet bills organizing the event, manger/agent fees. The payment also has to cover food, a roof over the musicians heads, bills, car expense, and every other living expense.
