His typical Bluegrass bands consist of a banjoist, a fiddle player (or a dobro), a guitarist, a stand-up bass player and a mandolinist. Robbie's bands are of traditional style (think Bill Monroe, Earl Scruggs)and play at weddings, house concerts, festivals, company picnics and parties of any sort. WOW. What can I say. The Robbie Macdonald Band Traditional Bluegrass band exceeded my expectations! They were very very nice, professional, and very very talented! I had about 20 guests and many of my guests were very vocal about how great they were! Even my friends who didnt like bluegrass music were blown away! I am thinking about having them back in august for my summer party. If I have live entertainment, it will be them!

We got married in a Western pioneer town venue. The place cried out for a country or bluegrass band. The Robbie Macdonald Band did such a fantastic job. They faced a challenge with an illness in the band and had so much support filling in the spot. They were very interactive with our guests and everyone, to a tee, loved them. We couldn't have been happier. They were a huge part of the success of the wedding.
