Blue Wheel Drive Bluegrass Band from Asheville, NC

Blue Wheel Drive is a high energy, hard driving bluegrass band that is based out of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Asheville, North Carolina. The band is keeping the future of bluegrass music alive with hot instrumental playing and tight harmony singing inspired by the traditional music stylings of Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, Jimmy Martin, Charlie Moore, Don Reno, and the Stanley Brothers. Blue Wheel Drive will be releasing their first album in the spring of 2015, which will feature all original material. Formed around the vibrant Asheville music scene, Blue Wheel Drive's lineup consists of the heartfelt lead and tenor singer Rob Sine playing guitar, Powerhouse singer and hard-driving banjo player, Andrew Blythe, CMH Records recording artist Rudi Ekstein playing mandolin and singing baritone, versatile sideman Branson Raines on the Fiddle, and U.S. Army Band veteran Rob Parks singing lead/tenor and playing upright bass, 2014 was a great year for Blue Wheel Drive, playing many shows, private events, concerts, and festivals around the greater southeast. The band even went and performed at the Chicago Folk Festival with 10-time Grammy Winning Fiddler Bobby Hicks. Blue Wheel Drive is currently booking for concerts, music festivals and private events in and around the greater Southeast.
