Sahari is a Tasteful, Elegant, Inspiring Performer. Dominican born, Sahari, is a professional Middle Eastern dancer, with more than 7 years of training under her belt. Her style is what’s commonly known as American Cabaret, but she is also an ethno-fusion dancer. Sahari has developed a unique style; what she calls “BellyLatin Fusion”, a mix of different Latin rhythms and dance steps with bellydance. Her training includes mentorships, classes and intense workshops with famous and experienced dancers such as Serena Wilson, Shamira Nawal, Suhaila Salimpour, Momo Kadous, Shareen El Safy, Tarik, Amaya, Amira, Dondi, and Bellydance Superstar Sonia. She has performed at many theatrical shows, festivals, fundraisers, recitals and special events throughout Hawaii, Massachusets, Rhose Island, New Jersey, NYC and Connecticut. Sahari has been featured in Hawaii and Connecticut’s newspapers, The Honolulu Advertiser, Star Bulletin, The Middletown Press, The Thames River Press and The Groton Times as well as on TV and radio (KHON Morning News Channel 2 and Tiny TV Oceanic Channel 16/95.5 FM radio).
Sahari is the Choreographer & Director of “Souls of the Sahara ” Troupe. American Cabaret and BellyLatin Fusion styles. Specialties are professional use of Veils, Zills, Canes, Swords, Candles, Isis Wings, Fans and Shamadan.
