Razia is an award-winning professional belly dancer who has dedicated the past decade to the development of her art. With captivating stage presence and a bewitching smile, Razia artfully blends the passion, precision and rich musicality of Middle Eastern dance into each of her performances. She dances in theatrical productions, fundraisers, nightclubs, restaurants, cultural events, and weddings in the United States and abroad, as well as participating in national belly dance competitions. She holds titles including:

A warm and engaging instructor, Razia strives to make each class a unique experience for her students, stressing the importance of excellent technique as well as personal expression and joy. She has earned accolades for her technical proficiency, musicality, and ability to clarify movements for students. Razia's expertise has led her to become a highly respected and sought-after instructor in her community, and she continues to grow in demand for national and international engagements. She has taught workshops in several countries, including Belgium, Canada, and throughout the west coast of the United States.
Razia draws inspiration from years of study with some of the best and brightest in her field, including Northwest dancers Aziza, Elisa Gamal, Astryd Farah DeMichele, and Magidah. In constant search for knowledge, Razia travels regularly to enrich her dance education. In 2003, she visited Cairo to study the dance from it's birthplace, and in 2005, spent six months performing and teaching through one of North America's most successful belly dance schools, "Hannan's Bellydance Studio" in Toronto, Ontario. Her most recent travels have taken her to London, where she studies with Shafeek Ibrahim and Hossam and Serena Ramzy, as well as cross-training in ballet.
Currently, Razia splits her time between her hometown of Eugene, Oregon, and England, where she enjoys the pursuit of life, love, and the opportunity to study with some of the best belly dancers in the world!
