Why hire Meesh?
As a seasoned bellydancer, and entertainer, Meesh has been performing in and around the Austin area for the last 10 years. She uses a variety of props including veil, fan veils, zills, cane, and sword, as well as fire props like palm torches and fans.
Meesh is a regular performer at the Sherwood Forest (Renaissance) Faire with her troupe, Gypsy Eyes, and has shared the stage with many different touring and local bands and DJs.
Meesh is a creative soul, guided by her love for all things nature and the need to dance. As a member of the Austin-based bellydance fusion duos Altabiah and Lunamyrah, Meesh was instrumental in creating their costuming and choreography. As a founding member of the Austin-based bellydance fusion troupe Gypsy Eyes, Meesh is co-creator of hand-made costuming and choreography as well as the coordinator of shows and events. Meesh has also been involved in a variety of retro-themed events as a Go-Go dancer. She's got the moves!
She is available for performance and instruction either as a soloist or with her troupe, Gypsy Eyes (live drumming, belly dancing, and fire!).

Typical Gig Duration: 15 - 60 minutes

Meesh can tailor the performance to your event--styles include gypsy-fusion dance with live drumming (Gypsy Eyes), traditional Egyptian belly dance, tribal fusion dance, and Fire dancing...even GoGo!
iPod aux hookup and good speakers
Please provide the following:
--a designated dance area (restaurants/lounges are the exception). Audience appreciation is welcome and appreciated (clapping along, etc.)!
--a proper stereo system with an aux hookup for iPod
--if this event involves other acts, please no sound check during Meesh's performance
--space for costume change/touch ups if necessary
--secure place to keep gear
Some events will require a tip jar, but if this is not the type of event where one would be appropriate, a rate will be discussed.
Cash is preferred method of payment-flat fee tips
**If hired for a fire show-
--area at least 15 X 15 feet away from entrance or walkway with no overhang of any kind or anything around area that is flammable
--safe area for fueling station that is no where near people or flammables
Safeties: As a soloist, Meesh will bring one safety (person) to each fire performance unless hired for a troupe gig (Gypsy Eyes--in which case we serve as each other's safeties).
