ANTHOLOGY is an a cappella group of four talented singers that has opened America'a popular music songbook and selected a repertoire that covers various genres: Jazz, Mo-Town, Doo-Wop, Barbershop Ballads and Up Tunes, Broadway Show Tunes, Dixieland, Country-Western, Ragtime and Comedy, etc.
Each of the men has been singing in the Barbershop Harmony Society for over 25 years. The current group has been together for over 10 years, although 3 of the members: Don Skrocki, Lead; Joe Colon, Tenor; and Cliff Schumann, Bass, have sung together in various quartets for over 20 years. Each sings multiple voice parts. The majority of ANTHOLOGY'S vocal arrangements are the work of their Tenor, Joe.
The group has won "Funniest Quartet Award" at the Bolton Landing Barbershop Festival in Lake George, NY. Here are a few testimonials from shows that they have done: 1. "Their presentation is superb - voices, arrangements, song selection, style and personality, all 'A-one'. For an hour, I was transported (carried away) as they sang my kind of music, and I clapped until my hands hurt." - Tom Burke, Editor, Village 6 News; 2. "...most entertaining of all was the performance given by ANTHOLOGY. The 4 presented champion calibre sound and an outrageous, flawlessly executed comedy routine right out of Vaudeville that had its audience rolling on the floor". - Larry McGrath, Editor, Ocean Sound News.
