Shades of Grey/Barbershop Quartet Barbershop Quartet from Grand Rapids, MI

The Shades of Grey are a Barbershop Quartet that sings a variety of songs arranged in the Barbershop style. The songs are generally older type songs but we do have a few modern songs also, such as Wonderful World as sung by Louis Armstrong. This quartet has been singing barbershop songs since 1997 and has several which are arranged just for this particular quartet. This quartet has competed in barbershop quartet competitions since its inception and has placed as high as sixth place in District Competition. The quartet was the Pioneer District Senior quartet champion in 1999 and was the Pioneer District Senior Quartet representative at the International Quartet Competition in 2001 which was held in Jacksonville, Florida. This quartet has been entertaining groups all over West Michigan since 1997. They have sung at church services, birthday parties, company dinners, retirement home functions and funerals. In 2013 they performed the National Anthem in Sarasota, Florida prior to the Detroit Tiger/Baltimore Oriole preseason baseball game and are scheduled to sing the National Anthem for the West Michigan Whitecaps in July of this year. This quartet is a family friendly group and is anxious to entertain at the "drop of a hat".
