Playback Quartet Barbershop Quartet from Toronto, ON

Playback is a barbershop quartet based in the Toronto and GTA region of Ontario, Canada. We are members of the Barbershop Harmony Society and of the 2013 World Champion Chorus, Toronto Northern Lights. Playback's members are all hugely experienced in the barbershop style. Our lead singer Kevin has competed at the World Championships on 10 consecutive occasions, from 2008 to 2017 in top-ranked Ontario quartets Chameleon (2008-2013) and Test Drive (2014-2017). Kevin has been a fixture of the Toronto Northern Lights chorus' front row since he joined the group in 1998. Bass singer Jean is a natural performer who has been singing barbershop since 2006 and won the Ontario District Championship with Nitro in 2008, and sang with Test Drive at the World Championships at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas, in 2017. Mike sings tenor, and is a BC native, moving to Ontario is 2015. As an active and near 20 year member of the Evergreen District of the Barbershop Harmony Society, Mike immediately joined the Toronto Northern Lights upon arriving in Ontario, and competed successfully in quartets in the Ontario District before joining Test Drive to compete in the 2017 World Championships. Lee sings baritone. He came to Canada from the UK in 2003 where he had won the British Quartet Championship in 2000 with "The Likely Lads". Lee has won the Ontario District Championship 3 times with The Authentics (2005), Nitro (2008) and Test Drive (2014), competing with Test Drive at the World Championships from 2014-2017. Lee was previously a singing judge in the barbershop style in the British Association of Barbershop Singers. Playback loves to perform for audiences small and large, and looks forward to being a part of your event.
