We cannot recommend & commend the Lone Piper highly enough. His music was magnificent & he went WELL beyond even our wildest hopes to THOROUGHLY entertain our guests Great pre-event communication--he arrived in plenty of time, looking great, & ready to go. The Lone Piper took our improvised ceremony in stride &, unexpectedly but happily, played throughout the private moments to entertain our guests. He went WELL above & beyond by making a special trip down the block to entertain my aged great-aunt & THEN stayed to work with my new father-in-law who has taken up the pipes. Phenomenal music, high caliber & friendly person. If you need a piper, he's your man!

I could not possibly say enough about this piper. My family is scottish so I have had many experiences with bag pipers in my life. David stands out among all others. From his full dress (which looks amazing in our wedding pictures), to his pure talent, to his awesome personality, we could not have asked for a better more meaningful addition to our wedding. I am hopeful that our paths will cross again some day!

David added exactly what we wanted to our wedding! lovely music, very nice authentic outfit/appearance and very accommodating. He patiently waited while we took numerous photo's, and then graciously played a few more songs. I highly recommend the lone piper! It was a such great touch to our wedding. Guests are still talking about it!

David was easy going and lovely. His selections were appropriate for our gathering and everyone enjoyed his playing. He arrived on time, in "full gear" and was cheerful and polite. He represents Pipers very well as he does Gigmasters. In between pieces he spoke to my godson about his bagpipes and military life and was charming to all. The only glitch in the evening ---- He stopped traffic on Rt. 28 as cars slowed down to see him and hear him play while he stood in the entrance of our barn which faces the busy street. People were snapping pictures and clapping approval! It was grand!

David was phenomenal! He showed up with his bagpipes, in full regalia and ready for anything! I secretly hired him and no one knew he was coming. He marched down the street and into the house blowing his pipes all the while! Everyone was pleasantly surprised and AMAZED! Many asked me where I ordered him from! He even played a Happy Birthday tune for the B-Day boys! Due to David’s presence this day will be remembered for years to come! If you are seeking a piper, look no further! We were extremely satisfied and highly recommend David for all your partying needs. We look forward to booking him in for future events! The Ramos'

Wonderful contribution to our event. David was quick to reply to emails, arrived well ahead of time, accommodated our needs and requests, was a pleasure to have at the event. We will certainly asking him to play again at future events - which is a pity, because otherwise we'd be inviting back him as a guest anyway!

David was stunning in full regalia and struck a very impressive appearance to welcome our guests. His musical talent was superb - we asked him to do uplifting, welcoming tunes and he was very accommodating.
He helped to "pipe" our guests into the dining room, a very effective method of moving the crowd.
I would highly recommend David - and if the occasion arises, will call on him again for another function.

The Lone Piper is an excellent piper and very professional. He really made the service very special for us. I wasn't able to discuss the service with him in any detail beforehand, but he seemed to know exactly what to play and when to play it. I would definitely hire him again.

Our judgment, as people who have lived for five years in Scotland, is that the Lone Piper is one of finest pipers we have heard---and we have heard a lot. David Methven ("the Lone Piper") was not only an accomplished musician, he also could not have been more accommodating. The pibroch he played as a lament as we scattered our son's ashes in the ocean was perfect. We were able to consult with him before the Service, and he made many helpful suggestions. He has our highest commendation.

The Lone Piper was a great addition to our event. He was extremely agreeable to our requests, and was well prepared for the unplanned adjustments which occur with children.
He answered their questions and captivated their attention with his accent, traditional uniform, and musical talent. We hope to request his performance again and highly recommend him.

Dave was one of the highlights of our wedding. He was so friendly, accommodating and professional. His presence put my husband and I at ease and his work blew us away. We left the song selection up to Dave and he did not disappoint! Our guests really enjoyed having him there as did we. You don't need to look any further into selecting a piper! A huge thank you to Dave! :)
